Mehndi is a form of temporary skin decoration using a paste created with henna.
Here are a two different downloads.
The first one you could cut out the hands and let the children make patterns. In the photo above we used cotton buds, dry spaghetti and a fork.
Using different items for children to paint with develops their creativity by exploring new textures and techniques, it improves their fine motor skills through various grasps and helps with hand-eye coordination. By using items delicate like spaghetti you can talk about 'what happens if you press too hard?' and let them explore.
In the photo we used paint diluted with a bit of water, however why not try different paints like mixing soil and water or a tea bag in water.
On the second down load there is some patterns to cut out which could be stuck to the hand provided.
